Práticas respiratórias na escola: um ensaio sobre emoções na configuração de volta à presencialidade / Breathing practices at school: an essay on emotions in the configuration of return to presence / Prácticas respiratorias en la escuela: un ensayo sobre las emociones en la configuración de vuelta a la presencia

RESUMO Este estudo tem como objetivo refletir, com base na teoria do processo civilizador e a partir de experiências empíricas, sobre a inserção de práticas respiratórias na escola no retorno à presencialidade. Caracteriza-se por uma investigação de cunho teórico-reflexivo realizado a partir de experiências decorridas em uma escola privada do município de Porto Alegre em diálogo com a teoria de Norbert Elias. A configuração foi construída a partir de três elementos: 1) 'A escola como instituição que normatiza comportamentos', 2) 'O descontrole controlado das emoções como intencionalidade pedagógica' e 3) 'A saúde mental no retorno à presencialidade'. A escola parece ser um espaço importante para o aprendizado de práticas corporais que auxiliem na liberação de emoções.

ABSTRACT This study aims to reflect, based on the theory of the civilizing process and from empirical experiences, on the insertion of breathing practices in school in the return to presenciality. It is characterized by an essay of theoretical-reflective nature based on experiences in a private school in the city of Porto Alegre, in dialogue with Norbert Elias theory. The configuration was constructed from three elements: 1) 'The school as an institution that regulates behaviors', 2) 'The uncontrolled control of emotions as pedagogical intentionality' and 3) 'Mental health in the return to presenciality. The school seems to be an important space for learning body practices that help in the liberation of emotions.

RESUMEN Este estudio tiene como objetivo reflexionar, a partir de la teoría del proceso civilizatorio y de las experiencias empíricas, sobre la inserción de prácticas respiratorias en la escuela en el retorno a la presencialidad. Se caracteriza por un ensayo de naturaleza teórico-reflexiva realizado a partir de experiencias en una escuela del municipio de Porto Alegre en diálogo con la teoría de Norbert Elias. La configuración se construyó a partir de tres elementos: 1) 'La escuela como institución que regula las conductas', 2) 'El descontrol controlado de las emociones como intencionalidad pedagógica' y 3) 'La salud mental en el retorno a la presencialidad'. La escuela parece ser un espacio importante para aprender prácticas corporales que ayudan en la liberación de emociones.

Heteronomia do boi-bumbá de Parintins: mecanismos de controle do folguedo de rua ao espetáculo / Heteronomy of the boi-bumbá of Parintins: control mechanisms since street's "folguedo" to the show

A rivalidade entre os Bois-Bumbás Caprichoso e Garantido está presente desde sua gênese, porém passou e passa por transformações ao longo de sua história de práticas e relações. Este texto tem como objetivo apontar as transformações pelas quais o boi-bumbá passou de um folguedo de rua ao espetáculo expresso no Festival Folclórico de Parintins. Para isso, foi realizada uma pesquisa bibliográfica e exploratória de modo a registrar a origem e os duelos dos Bois-Bumbás Caprichoso e Garantido enquanto um folguedo de rua, e sua evolução para a diplomacia e, consequentemente, para o lazer. Neste percurso de mudanças, fica evidente a relação dicotômica e antitética entre autonomia e heteronomia que está presente na luta entre rupturas e permanências culturais para atrair, ano após ano, milhares de pessoas para a Ilha Tupinambarana em busca de emoções prazerosas.

The rivalry between the Bumbás Caprichoso and Garantido has been present since its genesis, but has passed and undergoes transformations throughout its history of practices and relationships. This text aims to point out the transformations by which the bumbás went from a street's "folguedo" to the show expressed in the Parintins Folk Festival. For this, a bibliographical and exploratory research was carried out in order to record the origin and duels of the Bois-Bumbás Caprichoso and Garantido as a street's "folguedo" and its evolution to diplomacy and consequently to leisure. In this course of change, it is evident the dichotomous and antithetical relationship between autonomy and heteronomy present in the struggle between ruptures and cultural permanence to attract, year after year, thousands of people to Tupinambarana Island in search of pleasurable emotions.

Modernity and the regulation of bodies: Elias meets Foucault

This article seeks to reflect on the possibility of a meeting ground where Michel Foucault and Norbert Elias' thought comes together around the issue of the regulation of drives and bodily practices within modernity. Such drives - among which we highlight the use of force and violence, as well as the acceptable regulation of their release and applications - have been the object of particular procedures within the modern era, whether seen in relation to individuals or from to the social body.(AU)

Analisa relatos e produção iconográfica dos viajantes Wied-Neuwied (1815-1817), Karl Friedich von Martius (1817-1820) e Johann Moritz Rugendas (1822-1825) com base na construção do imaginário sobre os povos indígenas, a história e a nação. Procura demonstrar as relações entre as ideias/imagens que eles produziram e o debate sobre a natureza do Novo Mundo. Aborda sobretudo a visão de seus empreendimentos como o processo de construção de uma história do Brasil e de sua população, revelando os sentidos e possibilidades existentes para o processo civilizador em curso e o papel que eles desempenharam nesse contexto.

This analysis of the accounts and iconographic production of German travelers Wied-Neuwied (1815-1817), Karl Friedich von Martius (1817-1820), and Johann Moritz Rugendas (1822-1825) explores the construction of an imagination about indigenous peoples, history, and nation. It shows the relationship between the ideas and images produced by these voyagers and the debate on nature in the New World. Most importantly, it examines their endeavors as a process of constructing a history of Brazil and its people, uncovering the meanings and possibilities relevant to the civilizing process underway and their role in this context.
